I found this project both challenging and enjoyable. Several companies competed for the contract. Interestingly, none proposed innovative ideas, sticking to conventional concepts. Crafting cabinets is one thing, but true design involves creating a seamless kitchen that complements the house's style, enhancing its overall elegance. My background as a builder before becoming a cabinet maker has been invaluable in envisioning the finished work. A significant challenge was the presence of a large 300mm beam in the middle of the area, requiring careful design to avoid visual clutter. The combination of satin white acrylic doors and panels with oak timber creates a beautiful and natural partnership. Adding timber open shelves and a solid timber wall turned this kitchen into something truly special.
